Things I Like That Will Probably Get Me Burned at the Stake

Justin Timberlake

Spice Girls

Similarly, Victoria Beckham

Gilmore Girls (some of you like this, but I'm always hesitant to bring it up around other people)

The Hills (ok, this one is a guilty pleasure)

You know I love you like a fat kid loves cake, so I am just going to focus on the things we agree on, rather than the things we don't.

...No, I can't.

Gilmore Girls?! OH, FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

Kidding, homes. You feel free to love all up on that show.

Things I like that reveal me to be a big old loser, probably:

1. When dudes wear big fat white toes with black button-down shirts

2. JM J. Bullock

3. Fantasizing about pulling a gun on people who anger me (seriously, I think about this all the time)

Also, I like that song "Yah Mo Be There" by James Ingram and Michael McDonald. I could listen to that song over and over.

Gotta come to Broc's defense here.

Speak no ill of the Gilmore Girls or we shall be forced into a lengthy conversation about all ways the quirky residents of Stars Hollow have touched me. And not like that, McGuttermind. Ew.

Also, Rory lived in my senior year dorm room as a frosh on the show. How can you not love that?

Adams, I know you have a love/hate relationship with the Girls, but at least you watched it. Don't even try to squirm out of this one. You have a femme-crush on Sookie.

Also, the "Yah Mo Be There" reference made me think of 40 Year-Old Virgin, which is a good thing.

Did you know that Jm J is a Wyomingite? He was born in Casper.

Also, I have another one - You've Got Mail. Oh believe me, I know. I was never that crazy about Sleepless in Seattle, but TH & MR are super cute in this movie, and Meg's haircut is SO darling, and it displays NYC the way it should be - romantic and utterly charming. Too bad it's only that way about a week out of the year.

Hey, Jm J. is from Casper? Really? That makes me happy...for no reason whatsoever. Hmmmm.

And you're right: I do have a crush on Sookie. If that show was about her and Jackson, I would watch it. Unforunately, the rest of those big-headed losers kept popping up. I also like Michel and Lorelai's parents. Oh, and Paris. See, I liked the show in theory. In practice, I wanted to shoot the screen whenever it was on(again with the guns!).

Lauren Graham is way beyond awesome in Bad Santa - if you haven't seen it, go, now! To the Blockbuster, go!

And, ummm...I hate to come off all "I went to film school" on ya, but "You've Got Mail" sucks donkey balls next to "The Shop Around The Corner," which it was a re-make of. I love me some Tom Hanks, it's true, but no one can out-Jimmy Stewart Jimmy Stewart. Especially the young Jimmy Stewart. Yum!

Joy darling, I went to film school too, in case you forgot. That said, I've never seen "Shop Around the Corner" and will add it to my list. I knew it was a remake, and I agree in general, Tom Hanks is no Jimmy Stewart. I think I like YGM mostly for Meg's hair. And Greg Kinnear.
